What is usually going on

It is probably not the bleachers.

Pain that shows up after you have been sitting a while, then loosens once you stand and walk, is a pattern we see constantly. It is usually not a muscle you pulled reaching for the cooler.

More often it is pressure. A disc loses a little height, the space around it narrows, and a nerve root that runs down through the hip and leg ends up with less room than it needs. That is why it flares in a folding chair and eases on the walk to the car.

Pressure like that does not resolve on your schedule. It gets managed and worked around for months, sometimes years, until one morning it decides not to be worked around.

It could also be something else entirely. That is exactly what the exam is for.

Your first visit

One visit. Three things happen.

01

We listen

What hurts, when it started, what makes it worse, and everything you have already tried. This part is not a formality and it is not five minutes.

02

We look

A full physical exam and digital X-rays, taken here, same visit. You are not driving to an imaging center and waiting a week for a phone call.

03

We tell you

The doctor walks you through your own images and gives you a straight answer about whether we can help. If we cannot, we will say so and point you toward who can.

What is in the building

Two things you do not have to drive across town for.

DOC decompression table

Computerized spinal decompression

It gently separates the vertebrae to take pressure off a disc and the nerve root beside it. You lie on the table fully clothed and the computer does the work.

Used for herniated, bulging and inflamed discs, and for nerve pain that travels down a leg.

Zimmer Class IV laser

Deep-tissue laser therapy

Non-invasive, no downtime, and you walk out and go back to your day.

Used on shoulders, elbows, knees and jaws, and on the soft tissue that has not settled down on its own.

I was always terrified to be seen by a Chiropractor but was instantly calmed by Dr. Audrey as she explains everything she's going to do before and during her treatment. Dr. Audrey is very thorough in her assessment, diagnosis and treatment. She has the ability to calm my nerves and ticklish nature. I no longer fear going to the Chiropractor and my body thanks me for it.

Before you come in

The four questions we get most.

Do I need a referral?

No. Call or book online and come in.

What about insurance?

Bring your card and we will verify your benefits before anything starts, and tell you what your visit costs before you decide. Spinal decompression is cash pay across the industry, since no insurer covers it.

Is the exam going to hurt?

The exam is hands-on but gentle, and nothing happens without your say-so. If something is too tender to move, tell us and we work around it.

What if you cannot help me?

Then we tell you that on the first visit and point you to the right person. We would rather send you somewhere useful than put you on a plan that was never going to work.
